What is 美国志愿队?
美国志愿队, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, provides opportunities for Americans to serve their country domestically, address the nation’s most pressing challenges, improve lives and communities, and strengthen civic engagement. 每年, the agency places more than 200,000 美国志愿队 members and 美国志愿队 Seniors volunteers in intensive service roles; and empowers millions more to serve as long-term, short-term, or one-time volunteers.
What is the UNA 美国志愿队 培养 Success P程序?
The University of North Alabama/美国志愿队 培养 Success P程序 curates a variety of university and community resources to admit and support students with a background in the foster care system. This p程序 is designed to unite students with a shared background of foster care to impact and strengthen students by providing innovative support, guidance and leadership to ensure success in completing a bachelor’s degree and successfully entering the workforce.
The UNA 美国志愿队 培养 Success p程序 is funded in part by an 美国志愿队 State Planning Grant from the Alabama Governor's Office of Volunteer Services.

Who is Eligible?
This p程序 assists foster care youth and those who are orphaned, wards of the state, and/or have been placed with a kinship/guardianship as they begin the admission process and begin a post-secondary education. College can be a challenging change for those without a network of support. We will reinforce students as they successfully transition to adulthood by completing a college degree and entering the workforce.
